Asset Building Initiative: The West Virginia Alliance for Sustainable Families Asset Building Initiative is designed to address the needs of the very poor and working poor in the state by establishing an Individual Development Account, or IDA program. An IDA provides low-income individuals with the skills and support necessary to save money and acquire assets such as a first home, a college education or a small business.
