What is WVASF
The WV Alliance for Sustainable Families (WVASF) has serves as an important voice for West Virginia's working families. The WVASF coordinates research, education, advocacy, and coalition building on issues related to asset building and economic stability. The WVASF also leads EITC awareness throughout the state. The Mission of the WV Alliance for Sustainable Families is to increase access to asset building opportunities and improve economic security for low to moderate-income West Virginia families.
What We Do
Statewide Asset Building Coalition
We work to increase financial awareness and building assets among low and moderate income families. Coalition activities include policy advocacy, asset building and financial education programs, and research.

Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Outreach
We are the statewide leader building capacity for seven regional EITC coalitions providing Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and EITC outreach, establishing strategic partnerships, and providing promotional materials and resources.

Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Enrollment
Working with a network of partners to enroll children in CHIP and Medicaid through outreach at VITA sites, health clinics, and through grassroots Community Partners.

IDA's are matched savings accounts designed to help families and individuals of modest means establish a pattern of regular savings and ultimately purchase a "productive asset".

All across the state, West Virginia Saves is helping West Virginians to build wealth through saving and the reduction of debt. West Virginia Saves provides tools and tips to help West Virginia Savers reach their personal financial goals.

Kelli Hinklekhinkle@te-associates.com — is the Acting Executive Director for the West Virginia Alliance for Sustainable Families (WVASF). Her role is to facilitate the activities of the Alliance through the Board of Directors. Ms. Hinkle also serves as the manager for the Alliance’s EITC Campaign. In this role she focuses on promoting EITC awareness throughout the state by providing marketing materials, supporting the work of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites and serving as a resource to advance EITC outreach efforts. Ms. Hinkle works closely with the seven regional EITC Outreach Coordinators and IRS SPEC representatives to ensure a consistent statewide outreach message as well as providing a center contact point for the effort. 

Ms. Hinkle graduated from Glenville State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Before joining Terrell Ellis & Associates, she gained 16 years experience as an account manager and analyst for a large industrial corporation headquartered in Charleston, WV. Ms. Hinkle also received a certificate in non-profit management from Duke University in 2010.

Sarah Vintorinisvintorini@te-associates.com — serves as Program Manager for the Alliance and assists with the projects of the statewide asset coalition. Sarah has a BS in Business Administration from West Virginia University and has over ten years of experience working in the non-profit industry.
